Simulation and Numerical Analysis of Wireless Psk Systems with Imperfect Carrier Phase Recovery

چکیده
The bit error probability (BEP) of binary and quaternary PSK (BPSK and QPSK) signals over Rayleigh fading channel with imperfect carrier-phase recovery is derived. The channel is assumed to be slow and frequency-nonselective in which the received signal is constant over at least two symbol intervals. Numerical values for the average BEP are obtained by integrating the conditional BEP expression over the carrier-phase error distribution. The resultant integrands have only elementary functions, such as exponentials and algebraic power functions and can, therefore, be explicitly evaluated to any degree of accuracy. The accuracy of this approach is verified through proposing an efficient quazi-analytical simulation technique.

Simplified bit error rate evaluation of Nagakami-m PSK systems with phase error recovery
An efficient analytical and simulation techniques were developed to analyze the bit error rate of PSK Nakagami-m fading systems with imperfect carrier recovery. We evaluate the detection loss due to the carrier recovery for different rms phase error values when coherent BPSK and QPSK systems are used in wireless channels. Our results are useful in designing practical systems and will enable des...

Both coherent and differentially coherent PSK (CPSK, DCPSK) systems are currently being used in wireless communications with equal-gain combining diversity. Since recovery of carrier in coherent systems is often imperfect, and results in degradation in system performance, it is invaluable to evaluate the performance of CPSK with imperfect phase and compare it to the performance that can be obta...
متن کاملGeneralised Precoded Spatial Modulation for Integrated Wireless Information and Power Transfer
Conventional wireless information transfer by modulating the amplitude, phase or frequency leads to an inevitable Rate-Energy (RE) trade-off in the presence of simultaneous Wireless Power Transfer (WPT). In echoing Varshney’s seminal concept of jointly transmitting both information and energy, we propose the so-called Generalised Precoded Spatial Modulation (GPSM) aided Integrated Wireless Info...
متن کاملAnalysis of equal-gain diversity with partially coherent fading signals
An analytical technique based on Gram–Charlier series expansion is presented for the computation of the error probability of equal-gain combiner (EGC) with partially coherent fading signals. Imperfect carrier recovery is attributed to the random noise present in the carrier recovery loops. The resulting noisy phase references are assumed to satisfy Tikhonov distribution. The fades on the divers...
متن کاملA Simplified Constant Modulus Algorithm for Blind Recovery of MIMO QAM and PSK Signals: A Criterion with Convergence Analysis
The problem of blind recovery of QAM and PSK signals for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems is investigated. We propose a simplified version of the well-known constant modulus algorithm (CMA), named simplified CMA (SCMA). The SCMA cost function consists in projection of the MIMO equalizer outputs on one dimension (either real or imaginary part). A study of stationary po...
